Look What's Brewing
My grandfather, Joe, had a way about him- a dynamic willingness and desire to help people. He worked as a mechanic, and the garage he owned was a special place where his friends and customers could find wisdom and support. He was a trusted leader and mentor who inspired my leadership philosophy of faithfully serving others. Several years ago, I named a leadership series Morning Joe as a tribute to his way of dripping wisdom and inspiration to me, and others around him, every day.
I learned from him that just as there is a process to brew coffee, there is also a process to brew leadership. Leadership Academy of Madison County offers our community the ingredients it needs to brew servant leadership. Here are a few of the offerings we plan to serve up:
Brewing Leadership
A series dedicated to connecting area leaders around various leadership topics
Leadership Spotlight
A podcast interviewing LAMC alum and leaders about their impact on the community
Leadership Connections
Facilitating career connections between Madison County youth and employers
Many in the community are familiar with our core programs: adult and youth leadership academies. Over the years, our participants have grown meaningful relationships, blended backgrounds and experiences, and have been pressed out of their comfort zones. Students from BALANCE have been grinding through the program, their senior year in high school, and preparing to embrace their next stage of leadership. We are also co-facilitating Ivy Tech’s Student Leadership Academy. In these ways, our programs are touching hundreds of community members and organizations every year, percolating new thoughts and ideas and strengthening skills.
We hope you will consider sponsoring LAMC this year. With your support, we will continue serving fresh cups of SERVANT leadership throughout Madison County. Your sponsorship allows us to connect servant leaders to build better communities.
Our campaign runs until the end of 2021. Thank you for your support of the Leadership Academy of Madison County!
Best Regards
Jesse Reynolds, Executive Director
